Welcome to GUB. We hope you like it. Well, this is the bit where we tell you a little about our site.
GUB. Basically, we like gadgets and technology and we find ourselves using this stuff alot. So we thought it would be good to write about it and let other people know of our experience using particular technology. We only really review or comment on stuff we have purchased, are thinking of purchasing, or have borrowed. We don’t get given any technology at the moment so our comments are entirely independent and guaranteed to be independent.
Not that we’d be averse to some company lending us some tech from time to time, but we promise to let you know if there is anything going on that you may perceive would affect our view.
Most of the comment you find here will be positive, we know how to use this stuff and we don’t fly off the handle if things don’t work. We like to work out what is going on or going wrong. However, our experience that most new technology is actually very useful and reliable, it’s usually the user that isn’t!
We come from the perspective that most people making this stuff actually like it too so they’re not in the business of deliberately trying to make things that don’t work. So you’ll find us sympathetic to most technology manufacturers, and honest in our beliefs about any products benefits or limitations.
