Well this jury has delivered their verdict, and the verdict is Firefox rocks. There is new range of features including a dictionary for you to use when you’re entering data into a text field on the Web.
We toyed with IE7 but when Firefox 2 came on to the scene, its just obvious that it is far superior. The range of Add-ons is extraordinary and the functionality that you can tweak into the application is astounding.
We have just discovered Greasemonkey. Install this. It really helps to tweak particular issues you may have with the way particular websites render, or if you hate some annoyances that sites sometimes serve you.
Otherwise the interface is pretty much the same and delivers a solid and reliable browser experience.
If you’d like to know our favourite Add-ons at the moment here they are:
- Adblock Plus
- Add Bookmark Here
- Deepest Sender
- DictionarySearch
- DownThemAll
- FireFTP
- GeckoTIP
- Grab and Drag
- Greasemonkey
- IE Tab
- MileWideBack
- mozImage
- Platypus
- QuickZoom
- Tab Mix Plus
- TrashMail.net
So, if you want the best possible browsing experience, then Firefox really is the only option.
If IE7 had the same range of Add-ons (that were all free like in Firefox) then maybe, just maybe you’d think about it.
